A little story tucked between the plants. These fairy garden stakes are flat acrylic panels printed with detailed woodland characters: a bearded gnome with his shovel, a troll asleep on a tree stump, a troll reading to a tiny fairy, and a goddess meditating in a crown of leaves. Push one into a garden bed or a pot plant and it looks like something has moved into your garden.

Why It Stands Out
  • Four characters to choose from — Gnome, Sleeping Troll, Fairy and Troll, or Meditating Goddess. Pick a favourite or collect all four for a whole fairy garden
  • Looks 3D, weighs almost nothing — each design is a high-detail print of moss, bark, leaves and flowers on a flat 3 mm acrylic panel. From a few steps away it reads like a sculpture, without the weight or price of resin or stone
  • Made for the weather — the acrylic is waterproof, and the surface resists scratches and garden chemicals such as fertiliser splashes
  • Clean-cut edges — the panels are cut smoothly to the outline of each character, with no rough burrs
  • Two ground stakes — twin black stakes hold the panel straight in soil or potting mix
  • Nothing to assemble — take it out of the packet and push it in
  • An easy gift — a small, cheerful present for birthdays and Christmas, and one of the simpler gifts for gardeners who seem to have everything
Where to Put It
  • Fairy gardens — the centrepiece of a fairy garden, with pebbles, moss and succulents around it. It works with other fairy garden accessories you already have
  • Pot plants and planters — in a large pot on the verandah, balcony or front step, where it peeks out between the leaves
  • Garden beds and borders — tucked among ferns, groundcovers or low shrubs, where visitors spot it by surprise
  • Beside a path or pond — a small moment of garden art for people walking past
  • Kids' gardens — children love finding the gnome and the sleeping troll, and making up stories about them
How It Works

1. The design is printed onto acrylic — a detailed, full-colour image of each character on a rigid 3 mm panel.
2. The panel is cut to shape — it follows the outline of the character, so it looks like a figure, not a sign.
3. The stakes go into the ground — the two black stakes at the base hold it upright.
4. Plants do the rest — with leaves around its base, the flat panel blends in and looks like a small garden sculpture.

How to Set It Up

1. Remove any protective film — some acrylic panels arrive with a thin film on the surface. Peel it off for the clearest colours.
2. Choose the spot — among plants works best, so the stakes are hidden and the character looks at home.
3. Push the stakes straight down — hold the panel near the base, not by the top, and press it into soft soil or potting mix.
4. Loosen hard ground first — in dry or clay soil, water the spot or make a small hole with a trowel so the stakes don't bend.
Tip: group two or three characters at different heights in one bed or planter. It looks like a scene rather than a single ornament.

Care and Maintenance
  • Rinse to clean — a hose or a damp cloth removes dust and soil splashes. Use a soft cloth, not a scourer
  • Give it some shade — the harsh Australian summer sun fades printed colours over time. A spot with afternoon shade, or under taller plants, keeps them bright for longer
  • Bring it in for storms — strong winds can catch the flat panel and pull it out of the ground
  • Don't force the stakes — in hard or rocky ground, dig a small hole first so the stakes don't snap
  • Store flat — if you take it inside for winter, lay it flat so the panel doesn't warp

Frequently Asked Questions

Which designs are available?
There are four: Gnome, Sleeping Troll, Fairy and Troll, and Meditating Goddess. Each order includes 1 stake in the design you choose.
Is it a 3D figure?
No. It is a flat 3 mm acrylic panel with a detailed printed design, cut to the outline of the character. From a few steps away it reads like a sculpture.
How big is it?
It measures 23 cm wide and 30 cm tall, including the stakes.
Can it stay outside?
Yes. The acrylic is waterproof and the surface resists scratches and garden chemicals such as fertiliser splashes. Strong sun fades printed colours over time, so a spot with afternoon shade keeps them bright for longer. Bring it in before storms.
How do I put it in the ground?
Peel off any protective film, hold the panel near the base and push the two stakes straight down into soft soil or potting mix. In dry or clay soil, water the spot or make a small hole first so the stakes do not bend.
How do I clean it?
Rinse it with a hose or wipe it with a soft damp cloth. Do not use a scourer. If you store it indoors, lay it flat so the panel does not warp.
