Ordinary fairy lights give you one bulb every 10 cm and a thin line of dots. These are different. Care and Maintenance

• Keep the plug end out of the weather — under the eaves, in a weatherproof box, or inside through a window.
• Uncoil before you hang, do not pull — the wire is fine and a hard yank kinks it permanently.
• Coil loosely for storage — around a bit of cardboard, not screwed into a ball.
• Wipe the LEDs each spring — dust and cobwebs dull them more than you would think.
