Buy a set of garden lights and you're usually stuck with whatever colour they came in. Warm white forever. This one doesn't work that way — it's a rechargeable LED ball that holds sixteen colours plus pure white, eight brightness levels, and four animated modes, all driven from a remote you can use from the outdoor table without getting up. Four sizes, and they're designed to be grouped.

Why It Stands Out
  • 16 colours plus pure white — pick any colour across the RGB range or drop to clean white, with eight brightness levels from 20% dim to full
  • Four animated modes — Flash and Strobe for parties, Fade and Smooth for something slower that shifts through the evening on its own
  • Remote controlled — colour, brightness, mode and speed all change from your chair, without touching the light
  • IP65 weatherproof — with the port cover closed it is sealed against summer storms, sprinklers and coastal humidity, built to stay outside through the season
  • Rechargeable, no wiring — USB charges it in about six hours; no outlet, no cable running across the lawn, no batteries to buy
  • Shatterproof PE shell — moulded polyethylene that shrugs off a stray cricket ball, a dog or a kid's foot
  • Four sizes to mix — 12 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm and 25 cm, made to be grouped rather than lined up identically

Where to Put Them
  • Garden beds and borders — scatter mixed sizes through planting so the glow comes from inside the greenery rather than above it
  • Pathways and driveways — space them further apart than feels right; the glow spreads more than you'd expect once it's properly dark
  • Patio, deck and alfresco areas — group different sizes in a corner or on a table for ambient colour you can change to suit the night
  • Lawn, gravel and rockery — the flat base sits stable on grass, pavers or stone with no stake and nothing to dig
  • Balcony and courtyard — compact enough for small outdoor spaces, with no wiring and no power point needed
  • Indoors and events — clean enough for shelves, tables and floors at parties, weddings and Christmas

Sizing, if you're deciding how many to buy:

Small — 12 cm Tabletop, shelf, balcony rail, or scattered through a garden bed as accents
Medium — 15 cm The all-rounder. Works alone on a side table or in a cluster of three
Large — 20 cm Floor-level anchor beside a chair, planter or step
Extra Large — 25 cm Statement piece — one is usually enough in a courtyard or on a deck

Odd numbers read better than even. Three balls in mixed sizes will look deliberate; two of the same size tends to look like something's missing.

How It Works

1. USB charges the internal battery — plug in the supplied cable and the built-in rechargeable NI-MH cell fills in roughly six hours. No solar panel to position, so it charges indoors on a wet week.
2. The battery runs the LED — about eight hours at full brightness, or past 48 hours on the 20% setting, which is where most people end up leaving it for ambient garden lighting.
3. The remote sends the commands — colour, brightness level, mode and animation speed are all handled from the handset rather than a button on the light.
4. The shell diffuses the light — the moulded PE body spreads the LED evenly so the whole ball glows rather than showing a bright spot inside.

How to Set It Up

1. Charge it fully first — about six hours on the supplied USB cable before the first use.
2. Place it where you want it — any flat surface, indoors or out. Nothing to install, wire or dig.
3. Switch the power on at the base — the toggle sits underneath the ball.
4. Set it from the remote — choose a colour, set the brightness, then either lock it static or pick Flash, Strobe, Fade or Smooth.
Tip: at 20% brightness it runs past 48 hours, so dim mode gives you all-night ambiance without recharging daily.

Care and Maintenance
  • Wipe the shell — a soft damp cloth when it gets dusty; skip anything abrasive, as the PE surface scratches if you scrub it
  • Keep the port cover shut — close it between charges so moisture stays out, which matters most in humid and coastal areas
  • Top up when runtime drops — recharge via USB as soon as you notice the evenings getting shorter
  • Store part-charged — if one's going away for a few months, charge it to around half first; batteries hold up better stored part-charged than flat

Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes are available?
There are four sizes: Small 12 cm, Medium 15 cm, Large 20 cm and Extra Large 25 cm. Small suits tabletops and garden bed accents, Medium is the all-rounder, Large works at floor level beside a chair or planter, and Extra Large is a statement piece.
How long does the battery last?
About 8 hours at full brightness, or more than 48 hours on the 20% setting. A full charge by USB takes roughly 6 hours.
Is it solar powered?
No. It has a built-in rechargeable battery that charges with the supplied USB cable. There is no solar panel to position, so you can charge it indoors in any weather.
What can the remote control do?
The remote changes the colour, brightness level, mode and animation speed. You can choose from 16 colours plus pure white, 8 brightness levels from 20% to 100%, and four modes: Flash, Strobe, Fade and Smooth. The power switch is on the base of the ball.
Can it stay outdoors?
Yes. It is IP65 rated and the moulded polyethylene shell is impact-resistant and shatterproof. Keep the charging port cover shut between charges so moisture stays out. It can also be used indoors.
