How the Ultrasonic Pest Repeller Works

The unit is designed to emit ultrasonic sound from the front while the two red LEDs provide an additional visual deterrent after dark. Because the ultrasonic output is directional, placement matters: point the front of the unit toward the area animals normally approach rather than mounting it sideways or behind an obstruction.

The two flashing red LEDs also make it useful as a bird deterrent around selected garden or shed areas where birds repeatedly land or approach, while the unit stays broad enough for other nuisance animals.

120° Forward Working Area

The unit has a 120° working angle at the front and a working radius of up to 20 metres. Walls, fencing, vegetation and mounting height all shape how far it reaches, so aim it along the line the animals use.

For best results, keep the front of the device unobstructed and aim it toward the route, boundary or area where the unwanted visits occur.

Automatic Day and Night Operation

The built-in photosensitive switch responds to ambient light. During the day, the solar panel charges the internal battery. After dark, the dual red LEDs begin flashing automatically. You do not need to switch the lights on and off every evening.

Solar charging performance depends on available sunlight, so avoid deep shade if possible. Regularly wiping dust from the solar panel will also help maintain charging efficiency.

Weather and Placement

The unit carries an IP44 rating, which means it is intended to handle normal splashing water. Where practical, mounting it in a position with some shelter from severe weather can help protect the unit over time.
