A garden that looks good by day often disappears after dark. This solar outdoor spotlight fixes that without an electrician: push the spike into the ground, angle the head at a tree, a hedge or a feature wall, and it lights it up every night by itself. Nine LEDs, a tilting solar panel, and a choice of warm white, cool white or colour-changing RGB.

Why It Stands Out
  • Aim the light where you want it — the head tilts through 180°, so you can wash light up a tree trunk, across a hedge or onto a wall rather than just at the ground
  • Aim the panel at the sun separately — the solar panel tilts through 135° on its own hinge, so the light can point into shade while the panel still faces the sun
  • Nine LEDs, three brightness levels — the warm white solar lights and cool white versions each have high, medium and low settings. Low runs longest; high gives the strongest beam
  • RGB version cycles or holds a colour — the colour changing solar lights version lets you cycle through the colours, or stop it on the one you like. It makes a garden spotlight you can change for Christmas, a party or just a Friday night
  • On at dusk, off at dawn — a light sensor switches it on when it gets dark and off at daylight. There's no timer to set
  • No wiring, no running cost — these solar lights outdoor charge themselves, so there's no cable to bury, no transformer and nothing on the power bill
  • IP65 weather rating — sealed against rain and dust, with a rubber-covered button, so it can stay out all year
Where to Use
  • Uplighting trees — the classic use. As a tree uplight, one spotlight at the base of a palm, gum or ornamental tree turns it into the centrepiece of the garden at night
  • Hedges and garden beds — a warm white beam across a hedge or border gives depth that path lights can't. A few garden uplights along a border is the simplest way to make a yard look designed
  • Feature walls, fences and letterboxes — wash a rendered wall or a timber fence with light for easy landscape lighting at the front of the house. It's outdoor lighting that needs no electrician
  • Along driveways and paths — angled low, it lights the edges so you can see where you're walking
  • Pool and alfresco areas — as RGB garden lights, it turns a palm or garden bed into a backdrop for summer evenings outside
  • Christmas displays — as a Christmas spotlight, the RGB version lights a tree, a nativity scene or the front of the house in colour. Solar Christmas house lights with no extension leads across the lawn, and they come back on every night of the season by themselves
How It Works

1. The panel charges by day — the 5.5V solar panel stores sunlight in the built-in battery. A full charge takes about 5–6 hours of direct sun.
2. The light sensor watches for dusk — when it gets dark, the spotlight switches on by itself.
3. It runs on through the evening — up to 8–10 hours, depending on the brightness level and how much sun it had that day. Low brightness runs longest.
4. It switches off at dawn — and starts charging again, every day, automatically.

How to Set It Up

1. Switch it on first — press the button under the light head so the light is on. The panel charges whenever the switch is on, so leave it on and it tops itself up every day.
2. Push the spike into the ground — fit the spike and press it into soil or a garden bed. In hard ground, loosen the soil first rather than forcing it.
3. Point the panel at the sun — in Australia, north-facing gets the most sun. Tilt the panel so it isn't shaded by the plant you're lighting.
4. Aim the head — tilt it towards the tree, wall or bed you want to light.
5. Choose brightness or colour — press the button to change the brightness level, or on the RGB version to cycle or hold a colour.
Tip: set it about 30–50 cm from the base of a tree and angle it upwards. Too close and you only light the bottom of the trunk.

Care and Maintenance
  • Wipe the solar panel — dust, pollen and bird droppings cut charging. A damp cloth every few weeks keeps runtime up
  • Keep the panel clear of growth — trim plants that grow over the panel through spring and summer
  • Use lower brightness in winter — shorter days mean less charge. Dropping to medium or low keeps it going all night
  • Clean the lens gently — soft cloth and water only, no solvents
  • Check the spike after storms — heavy rain can loosen the soil, so press it back in firmly if it leans

Frequently Asked Questions

What light colours are available?
There are three versions: Warm White 3000K, Cool White 6000K and RGB colour changing. The white versions have 3 brightness levels. The RGB version can cycle through colours or hold one colour.
How long does it run at night?
Up to 8–10 hours, depending on the brightness level and how much sun it had that day. Low brightness runs longest. A full charge takes about 5–6 hours of direct sun.
Why is my spotlight not charging?
Check that it is switched on. Press the button under the light head, because the panel only charges when the switch is on. Also make sure the panel faces the sun and is not shaded by the plant you are lighting.
Can it stay outside all year?
Yes. It is IP65 rated, sealed against rain and dust, with a rubber-covered button. After storms, press the spike back in firmly if it leans.
How big is it?
It stands 30.5 cm tall with the spike. The light head is 7.3 cm and the solar panel is 8.5 × 6 cm. It has 9 LEDs and is made of ABS and PVC.
How do I position it to light a tree?
Set it about 30–50 cm from the base of the tree and angle the head upwards. Too close and you only light the bottom of the trunk. In Australia, pointing the panel north gets the most sun.
